THE MAIN EVENT WILL BE HELD JUST FIVE MILES DOWN THE ROAD IN GREAT VALLEY ON SATURDAY STARTING AT 1PM WITH A FULL DAY LINE UP OF ENTERTAINMENT. "SUNNY" JIM WHITE, A FAVORITE AMONG FLORIDA PARROTHEADS, WILL START OFF THE CONCERT FOLLOWED BY PETER MAYER, JIMMY BUFFETT'S LEAD GUITAR PLAYER. SCOTT KIRBY, A MUSICAL TROUBADOR THAT WANDERED OUT OF NEW ENGLAND AND WOUND UP AT THE END OF AMERICA IN KEY WEST, WILL JOIN PETER AND FINISH OFF THE SET ON HIS OWN. THE DAY WILL FINISH WITH THE MUSIC OF KEY WEST EXPRESS, ONE OF THE BEST JIMMY BUFFETT TRIBUTE BANDS IN THE EAST. ALL MUSIC WILL BE ENJOYED UNDER A HUGE TENT ON THE VALLEY GRILL LAWN. The Summer's Premiere Event Is Back!!
Last year, our Slice of Island Life summer bash for MS was so successful, we're doing it again! The event will be held at Carey's Irish Pub in Kernersville, NC and the festivities begin on July 21st at 3:30pm.
We'll start out with our own Darryl Clark performing solo. He missed our preconcert party but he will be playing for us for sure at our SOIL summer bash! Darryl will play from 4pm - 6pm.
At 6:30pm Jim Morris and the full Big Bamboo Band will take the stage! With 6 CDs out now and some really phenomenal tunes, we will be Laid Back and Kernersville Wasted! We are even working on bringing in a huge truckload of sand to cover the dance floor as well as a bunch of bamboo! You'll be able to take off your shoes and dance the night away! We will have shuttles running to and from the host hotel all day and night. Corona and Margarita drink specials at Carey's and Momma will be serving those infamous cheeseburgers for $3.00 a piece.
The Parrot Heads of the Triad will provide some other munchies free of charge and a laminated badge and a club koozie will be included in your preregistration! All for $15.00! Please preregister ASAP to help us prepare.
The cost at the door will still be $15.00 but there will be no badge and no koozie and no opportunity for these cute shirts. We will be offering preregistered guests a commemorative tee shirt using a more colorful sample of the logo above at $15.00 a shirt. Please don't send any preregistrations requesting shirts if they won't be postmarked by July 5th, 2001 and please don't send any non tee-shirt requesting preregistration forms that will not be postmarked by July 14th.

Migration Music is organizing and promoting a James "Sunny Jim" White and Jim Morris tour this summer. The first leg of the tour will be from May 31 - June 10 and run from Texas to Florida. All shows will be recorded for a live CD to be released on the second leg of the tour, which will run up the US East Coast from August 23 � September 3. For the seventh consecutive year, the Parrot Head Club of Richmond would like to invite you to our weekend phlocking, *Stars on the Water," Friday and Saturday, September 14 & 15, 2001. Our club members will be working very hard to see that you enjoy a fun- and music-filled weekend in the company of friends, both old and new.
For your listening, dancing, or just plain kick-back-around-the-pool pleasure, we've got a knockout entertainment lineup: A1A, Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band, B2B, and David Carter!
Here's the lowdown on all the fun:
Friday evening - Cheeseburger in Paradise Poolside Party with JIM MORRIS and The Big Bamboo Band,, 6 - 11 p. m., cheeseburgers with the works, beer and soft drinks.
Saturday, beginning at 11:00 a.m. - Poolside entertainment beginning with DAVID CARTER from Virginia Beach, followed in the afternoon by B2B, the PHC of Richmond's own Buffett tribute band. There'll be food, beer, soft drinks, parrot head fun and games, great raffle prizes, and maybe even some of our club's famous jello shooters!
Saturday evening - A1A concert in the Holiday Inn ballroom, 8 - midnight. Dance, sing, and get crazy with the Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band featuring Jeff Pike and Scott Nickerson. Heavy hors d'oeuvres. Cash bar.

The Phlocks will invade Fish Tales from 7pm until 10pm for the Welcoming Party. The night will be filled with tons of Buffett, contests and the opening of registration.

This day is PHUN filled. Fager's Island on 60th Street and the bay will open its doors to the Parrotheads at Noon for a Lunch Show (1pm-3pm) with Sunny Jim! Then from 4pm until 6pm for a live show with Scott Kirby and Lou London. Registration will be open at 12pm. Special drink and food prices for all registered Parrotheads! For more information on Fager's Island, visit them on the web at www.fagers.com. Fager's Island is Ocean City's own Mallory Square. It's one of the best restaurants in OC and in the country; so after the show take part in sampling their menu.
Take part in the Best Dressed Parrothead and the Best Hat Contests (registration is 3pm-4pm at Fagers) � winners will win a plaque plus an array of prizes. The Famous Parrot Pin game is also returning this year � winner will win a plaque and prizes. All winners will be awarded their prizes at 9:30pm at Seacrets.
The Saturday Evening Party is at Seacrets, located on 49th Street and the Bay. The Jim Long Band will be on stage from 5-9pm. Jim Long is one of Ocean City's Local favorites. Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band will be taking the stage on the Beach at 9pm and 11pm. Innasense, a reggae band from Miami will be preforming at 10pm and 12 Midnight. The evening will be filled with tons of PHUN - and try Seacret's Big Bamboo Boat Drink - it's filled with Parrothead RUM! Come and Get LOST! Seacret's is one of Ocean City and the US's favorite bars!
